APEX APP ALIAS - Unique Across Instance ?

Recently I was asked that in APEX whether the Application Alias is unique across instance.  My first reaction is..."it should be…otherwise it's pretty easy to make an APEX URL to become invalid because someone could use the same alias".

Access Windows Registry using Java JNA Advapi32 API -- 32-bit and 64-bit Complication


Finally there has a standard and free package to use Java for manipulating Windows registry (read, write, delete).  The Java Native Access (jna) is an once-and-for-all package for accessing OS-specific functionalities that is proven to work.  However, there's a twist for 32-bit and 64-bit Windows.

Concurrent Request Form - No need to keep clicking the Refresh Data button...automatic refresh now !


In Oracle EBS world, enhancement requests (ER) are rarely come to reality.  I never have any high hope that any ER I submitted will be accepted. However, I can't believe these ERs for Concurrent Request Form become a real patch.

Move EBS 12.1.3 Vision from Win Server 2003 (DB 11.1.0.3 32-bit) to Win Server 2008 R2 (DB 11.2.0.4 64-bit)


Oracle EBS 12.1.3 Vision environment was migrated from Windows Server 2003 32-bit (DB 11.1.0.3 32-bit) to Windows Server 2008 R2 64-bit (DB 11.2.0.4 64-bit).

Compile invalid objects hangs forever


Using adadmin to compile invalid objects. Process never ended and so it was killed. Run again and it kept happening.  What to do next ?

Open Two IE to access same EBS instance using different users


"I opened another window, logged on to Oracle, and tried to enter AP invoice for another OU.  Went back to my first window, it said some errors and the window closed.  I hadn't save my stuff and all data was lost. Waste a day of my work.  Oracle sucks."
